Murray is a Chartered Professional Engineer with over 40 years of experience in management, maintenance, renewal and construction of council and state highway road infrastructure in New Zealand and overseas. Having worked for consultants, contractor and councils, Murray brings asset management insight from all perspectives.
For over a decade he was Contract Manager for the South Canterbury NOC. He has also supported other NOCs during their establishment, and assisted with performance measurement of the Taranaki, Coastal Otago and North Canterbury NOC contracts. He also developed asset management plans for Gore District and Chatham Islands Councils.
Recently, Murray helped prepare Nelson City Council’s road vegetation control contract and was seconded to Clutha District Council as the senior roading asset manager.
