Jake has 20 years of experience in the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects in the UK, New Zealand and managed the regional offices (100+ staff) in the Pacific Islands for a Tier 1 contractor. Projects have ranged from complex water and wastewater to earthworks, roading, bridge and airport runway construction.

He is well-respected in the industry for his ability to competently prepare, plan and deliver complex programmes of work needed following major natural disasters like Cyclone Gabrielle or the Christchurch earthquakes, and resourcing and managing large teams or in remote and challenging locations. Jake project managed and oversaw a team of 50+ field staff and three engineers to successfully deliver the $11.2M USD rehabilitation works for Pago Pago International Airport (all while the airport remained fully operational).

Jake is currently leading the bridges recovery works for Gisborne District Council following Cyclone Gabrielle. This has included the procurement and management of design consultants, set-up and administration of contractor panel, and construction contract procurement and physical delivery phase project management for the major bridge rebuild programme.
