Matt has two decades of varied experience in New Zealand’s civil construction industry – working in design offices, managing a large construction business unit, and delivering NZTA road and bridge construction contracts.

He is recognised for his delivery of high-profile complex programmes and projects, where risk and reputation are at stake. Matt uses his construction knowledge and design experience to develop cost-effective constructable methodologies to the benefit of client, contractor and stakeholders.

Matt’s experience includes the Waimea Dam – the largest dam built in NZ in a generation, Christchurch Northern Corridor (CNC) Waimakariri River Bridge Widening, and the Taramakau River Road Bridge. He has also played a key role in the fast reinstatement of critical state highway lifeline routes, including the award-winning SH6 Whangamoa 48-day Emergency Repair; and the SH25a Coromandel Emergency Repair.
