Nelson Marina Wharf Extension

Client:
Nelson Marina Management Ltd
Date:
2026 - ongoing

This project involves the construction of a new finger wharf and runway to enable the installation of a new 110-tonne straddle lift as part of the upgrade of the Mobile Boat Hauler (MBH) facility. It forms part of the marina’s wider redevelopment to increase capacity and improve facilities for boat building and maintenance.

These works are significant large-scale marine and civil construction activities undertaken within the active operational port environment. All construction activities are carefully staged and executed while the Port remains fully operational. The project has a high level of stakeholder management, including ongoing engagement with port operations and contractors, to minimise disruption, manage risk, and ensure efficient delivery of the works.

We are working as a collective team on the project, as Engineer’s Representative reporting directly to Nelson Marina and Nelson City Council’s Project Manager. We are also involved in client liaison and providing procurement advice.
