NCC adopted a policy post-COVID of single negotiated tenders with a value less than $2m, to provide local contractors with a degree of certainty around workload. We have provided cost assurance and negotiation of contract values and have collaborated with contractors to understand and refine methodologies to provide best value outcomes for both client and contractor.
Projects have included:
- York Terrace Stormwater Upgrade, 2023 – 2025: 350m 1200 Dia deep drainage, associated earthworks, structures and reinstatement. Design input and procurement documentation, price review and Negotiation; circa $3m.
- Nelson City Council August 2022 Flood Recovery Work, 2022 – 2025: Constructability and pricing reviews for projects delivered through the Contractor’s panel. These have included Brook Street Slip Repairs, Maitai River Flood Improvements, and Grampian Slip Recovery projects.
- Wastney Terrace Stormwater Upgrade, 2022 – 2023: 500m RCRRJ pipe 450mm to 900mm, associated earthworks structures and reinstatement. Design input and procurement delivery, price review and negotiation for direct procurement; circa $1.5m.
